My Story
Crystal is an economic developer and certified business advisor by day as the executive director of the Community Improvement Corporation in Belmont County, Ohio. She came to this field after almost twenty years in higher education. She has a bachelor's degree in communication and a master's degree in public administration. Her personal interests include local history, metal detecting, preserving the cabin, Appalachian culture, hiking, and traveling. She pulls from these diverse areas, both professional and personal, to think creatively to solve problems and challenge the status quo.

She has done many presentations over the years. Topics have included local history, communication in the workplace, mindful customer service, brownfields, community development, and more. Audiences have included people of all ages and all group sizes.
